Automation 2000 was started in 1973 to solve problems faced by Transformer manufacturers. The first protection unit called DGP was produced in 1974. The DGPT2 is marketed after two years of research and development in 1976. The DGPT2 enables to monitor continuously three essential parameters of the electrical transformers tank, release of gas, excess pressure and temperature. There are more than 200,000 units of DGPT’s worldwide currently in service.
